Data Collection

We collect data using cone of three primary methods. The appropriate collection method is decided in consultation with clients and according to the nature, need, and use case of the data required. Our methods include: Door-to-Door collection, street intercept, and phone/online surveys.

Data Protection

MENA Analytics complies with all Palestinian data protection laws such as the Electronic Transactions Law and the Electronic Crimes law. Nonetheless, because we recognise the nascency of the legal field in Palestine when it comes to data-related matters and go beyond what’s legally required to ensure the protection of personal data and all other information that we collect on behalf of our clients. Among our processes are consent phrases, use of data for marketing and advertising, right of access, right to be forgotten and record of processing activities.

As a UK-registered entity, we also abide by UK laws including the Data Protection Act 2018 which is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Accordingly, we follow ‘data protection principles’ to make sure that data and information is: 

  • used fairly, lawfully and transparently

  • used for specified, explicit purposes

  • used in a way that is adequate, relevant and limited to only what is necessary

  • accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date

  • kept for no longer than is necessary

  • handled in a way that ensures appropriate security, including protection against unlawful or unauthorized processing, access, loss, destruction or damage.
